| If you are an Atlanta-area commuter, you probably know all the shortcuts, tips and tricks about your route that make your daily travels as bearable as possible. You're probably also keenly aware of any problems that occur on your route. Things like left turn arrows that are shorter (or longer) than usual, turn lanes that are just a little too short, ramp meters that are stuck, or message signs that give incorrect travel times. If you observe these type things, you might think "Who should I call?" or "Someone else probably reported this problem already." But perhaps not...
This page is designed as a means for you to report fixable problems you see related to traffic and/or transportation in and around Atlanta. Georgia DOT will take your reports and see if anything can be done. If it's a city or county issue, we'll forward your report to the appropriate agency.
Be specific in describing the problem and location ("The traffic light on US 78 at Burger King is messed up" is NOT specific enough.) Also, report problems that can be fixed by having someone repair a malfunctioning device or possibly perform minor changes to the roadway. Asking us to "double-deck the entire Atlanta freeway system" or "build mag-lev trains from here to Chattanooga" is NOT what we are looking for in these reports (as great as those ideas may be.) If the sheer volume of cars is the root of your problem, this forum probably won't be able to help. But if it's something that you think can be fixed, please let us know.
Please provide your name and a means of contact so we may acknowledge your report and follow up with you if necessary. |
